We are micro-producers who started from scratch in Kendal in late 2019, growing fresh gourmet mushrooms and grow-your-own oyster mushroom boxes for home. Initially we were looking to supply hotels and restaurants. Unfortunately, Covid hit in early 2020 so we changed tack and used the fresh mushrooms we had grown to make unusual, tasty and nutritious gourmet mushroom products: king oyster antipasti, spicy mushroom curry pickle and mushroom chutney. We also make oyster mushroom jerky, porcini dust and will be extending our gourmet mushroom range further with new and different products.
Since 2020 we have improved and refined our products and have expanded our sales through online shops, markets in Cumbria, Lancashire and Merseyside, one-off events and, most recently, wholesale contacts business-to-business. In 2023 we were pleased and proud to be given a Guild of Fine Food Great Taste 2-Star award for our King Oyster Antipasti.
